Habitat:

Carpet beetles are found in attics, wool carpets, tapestries and wall-to-wall carpeting. Larvae hatch from eggs in the spring and early summer, often in the nests of birds or around stored fabrics.

Food:

Carpet beetle larvae feed on natural fibers throughout their development. Adults will feed on almost anything including carpets, furniture, lint, hair, garments, blankets, pet food, animal nests, animal carcasses, dead insects, leather, and pollen of flowering plants.

• Remove the carpet beetles with a vacuum.
